What is insilicoIDE
insilicoIDE (Integrated Development Environment) is a browser & editor of the multi-level models written in insilicoML format and/or CellML format.
The insilicoIDE can export C++ sourcecodes including numerical integration solvers. Thus users can perform simulations easily by compiling them.
insilicoIDE ver. 1
The specification of the insilicoML (ISML) is innovated. Now the version of ISML is 1.0. Based upon the upgrade of the ISML specification, we also upgraded the insilicoIDE (ISIDE). There exists a converter from ISML0.1 (previous version) to the ISML1.0, which works with ISIDE ver. 1.
Specifications
insilicoIDE 1.0 can work on Windows XP and Mac OSX. Unix like operating systems such as FreeBSD, Linux will be supported soon. The ISIDE 1.0 uses XML Database as basis of the application. To access to the information in the database, ISIDE uses Python API based on Python 2.5. The graphical user interface is built with Qt and C++. Hence to execute ISIDE, the system requires at least dbxml library, python, Qt library. Besides that in the codes we used boost library. For more details, see the install guide.

insilicoIDE includes inslicoSim. This simulator can parse insilicoML directly and, moreover, can perform parallel computation which is useful for large scale simulations (Mac version). insilicoIDE can also export ISML models into FreeFEM format for solving partial differential equation (with some limitations).

- Python APIs are partially sorted out in ver. 1.2. See remak_on_python_apis.txt for details.
- In a case that you are using Windows, it is strongly recommended to remove the older version of ISIDE before installing the new version. To remove the older version, run "uninstall.exe".
Don't forget to copy or move your files to another folder because the uninstaller removes the entire folder.
